Flasks for Defender's Day (Serbia)
Stainless steel flasks for Serbian Defender's Day (23 February) — a small, functional corporate token for the team and partners, 30-unit MOQ, laser engraving or UV print, RSD pricing, delivered in Belgrade and Novi Sad.
Why a flask works for the 23 February token
Defender's Day (Dan primirja u Prvom svetskom ratu) is the small, low-key corporate holiday in the Serbian calendar — no gifts expected at home, but most mid-size employers in Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš mark it with a small token for male team members and a thank-you to long-standing partners. A 220 ml stainless steel hip-flask is the format that keeps working through every refresh of the corporate gifting list: it fits in the inside pocket of a winter coat, it survives the daily commute from Zemun to Novi Beograd, it gets used on the weekend hiking trip to Fruška Gora, and it carries the company logo without turning into a kitsch trophy. The 23 February token is also one of the rare corporate-gift moments where the recipient demographic is reliable and the budget envelope is well-known — most HR teams plan this in late January and want delivery locked before the 15 February.
Models and materials that fit
Default SKU is a 220 ml stainless steel hip-flask with a captive screw-top lid, brushed finish on the body, 60×40 mm print zone on the front panel — the workhorse for HR-led corporate Defender's Day gifts across IT-services, logistics, and manufacturing employers. Premium tier is the 230 ml leather-wrapped flask (PU or full-grain leather) with stitched seams and a metal hinge clip, ordered by executive teams and partner-track gifting at runs of 15–30. For ESG-mandated programmes we substitute a recycled-stainless equivalent at roughly 18% premium, sourced from a single audited mill. We avoid aluminium flasks for this occasion because the dent-resistance under daily pocket carry is the property the recipient actually values.
Prints and branding approaches
Laser engraving at 60×40 mm is the standard finish for the corporate Defender's Day flask — single-colour etch, no print to scratch off, holds up to daily pocket carry and the weekly dish-washer cycle. UV colour print at the same zone is the alternative for logos that need full-colour reproduction (most IT-services and gaming-sector brands with a multi-tone crest); we use a UV-cured pigment ink that survives 200+ dish-washer cycles before visible fade. Screen print is reserved for the mass-employer tier where the logo is a single Pantone and the budget does not stretch to laser setup. We never pad-print on this format — the curved body reads unevenly at typical pad resolutions and the print drifts after six months of pocket carry.
Bundling and packaging
The standard corporate pack is a single flask inside a two-piece black gift box with a satin ribbon and a printed greeting card naming the recipient's name (RSD 350 per card, optional). For the partner-track tier we use a magnetic-close box with a foil-stamped corporate greeting card and a kraft sleeve — adds RSD 950–1,400 per flask but reads as a proper executive gift. The 23 February token is typically delivered as a single batch to the office reception in the first 10 days of the month; HR teams usually want everything pre-sorted by department so the office manager can hand them out at the morning briefing on the 23rd. Master cartons hold 25 flasks each; we do not break the master carton below 30 units because the box-print setup amortises at that threshold.
Runs, lead times, and budgets
Minimum run is 30 flasks; pricing in RSD per unit (exclusive of PDV) falls from approximately RSD 1,650 at 30 units to RSD 1,380 at 100, RSD 1,150 at 250. Standard lead time is 10–14 business days from artwork sign-off (laser setup adds two days, leather wrapping adds three), with a 5-business-day rush available for orders placed before the 5 February. Quotes returned within one Serbia business day; sample flasks with engraving ship from Belgrade in 48 hours, sample cost credited against the order on confirmation. PDV at 20% applies for local entities; export invoicing to Republika Srpska and EU buyers is available in EUR on request.
Serbia context
The Defender's Day corporate gifting window in Serbia is tight — most HR teams in Belgrade's IT-services corridor (Novi Beograd, Zemun, the Ada Huja business park) and Novi Sad's industrial-and-logistics employers (the Sever industrial zone, the cargo rail terminal) place orders between 15 January and 5 February. Remembrance events for the corporate Defender's Day programme often run at Sava Centar (the formal military-and-civic ceremonies), the Hyatt Regency Belgrade ballroom (corporate partner events), or the Crowne Plaza Belgrade conference floor (industry-association gatherings). For regional employers the token is shipped to a single Belgrade hub and the HR team distributes internally; for multi-site employers with offices in Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš we split the master cartons across three delivery points at no extra cost.
Frequently asked questions
What size flask fits an inside coat pocket?
The default 220 ml hip-flask sits cleanly inside the inside pocket of a standard men's wool overcoat without bulging — the captive screw-top keeps the silhouette flat. The 230 ml leather-wrapped variant is the same footprint but slightly thicker; it fits a blazer pocket but not a suit's inside pocket. We do not recommend going above 250 ml for the corporate token because the bottle stops being a pocket carry and starts being a desk piece, which changes the gifting dynamic.
Is laser engraving or UV print better for the corporate logo?
For single-tone logos and most Serbian corporate crests, laser engraving is the better finish — the etch is permanent, the logo reads cleanly against the brushed steel, and there is no print film to scratch off after a year of pocket carry. UV print is the right choice for full-colour crests, multi-tone gaming-sector logos, and the rare case where the corporate identity includes a gradient; UV holds up to roughly 200 dish-washer cycles before visible fade.
Can we include the recipient's name on the flask?
Yes — name engraving adds roughly RSD 280 per flask and needs a recipient list at least five business days before delivery. We work from a CSV with the recipient's first name and surname; engravings are set in a clean sans-serif at 14-point height, two lines maximum. For partner-track executive gifts the name engraving is paired with a foil-stamped greeting card and the whole pack ships in a magnetic-close box.
What if our Defender's Day budget is for a smaller male cohort?
The standard 30-unit MOQ is the floor for the engraved SKU; if your male cohort is 12–20 staff we recommend stepping down to the corporate desk-set or pen-and-notebook bundle, both of which have a 20-unit MOQ. For partner-only gifting (5–15 units) we run the leather-wrapped variant on a dedicated production slot with a 14-business-day lead time and no setup amortisation.
Do you deliver to Sava Centar, Hyatt Regency, or Crowne Plaza?
We deliver to all three. Sava Centar deliveries go to the loading dock off Milentija Popovića with 48 hours' notice and a security pre-clearance; Hyatt Regency and Crowne Plaza deliveries use the hotel loading dock and need the recipient's name on the consignment note. For multi-site employers with offices in Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš we split the master cartons across three delivery points at no extra cost.
Is the Defender's Day flask tied to the official Serbian holiday?
No. The flask is a corporate gifting item, not an official commemorative product. Serbian Defender's Day (Dan primirja u Prvom svetskom ratu, 23 November, renamed under the 2012 amendment to the law of holidays) is a state holiday; the corporate 23 February token in Serbia is an informal workplace tradition around the older Defender of the Fatherland Day (23 February). Corp-Merch does not partner with or sponsor any state commemoration or industry-association event.
Is Corp-Merch a partner or official supplier of any Defender's Day event?
No. Corp-Merch is an independent corporate-merch supplier in Serbia. We supply flasks and corporate gifts to employers and their HR teams on a project basis; we do not partner with, sponsor, or act as an official supplier of the Serbian Ministry of Defence, the Serbian Armed Forces, Sava Centar commemoration events, or any civic remembrance ceremony. All trademarks and programme names belong to their respective owners.

What's next
If your Defender's Day list runs above 200 recipients and the cohort includes both office-based and field staff, ask us about the split-SKU pack — 70% standard engraved flasks for office staff, 30% leather-wrapped flasks for partner-track recipients — which keeps the per-unit average down without dropping the executive tier. For smaller partner-only gifting (5–15 units) the leather-wrapped variant is the cleaner choice; send the brief by the 5 February and we will lock the engraving setup and the master-carton delivery in time for the 23 February hand-out.
