Branded bandanas — Serbia
Custom bandanas for EXIT Festival, Belgrade outdoor brands and event teams. Cotton and microfibre, screen print and sublimation, runs from 100 units, 5–8 working days from Belgrade.
Where bandanas work in Serbian merchandising
A bandana is a 550 × 550 mm square of fabric with a defined role: it is the multi-purpose event and outdoor promo piece. At EXIT Festival (Petrovaradin) it shows up as a wrist wrap, a face covering, a band on a cap, a pocket square. At Belgrade adventure races (Stara Planina Ultra, Fruška Gora Trail) it is a sweat band and a signal flag. At Serbian outdoor brands (Lone Wolf, Planinar, Outventure) it is part of the brand-coded product line. In hospitality, kafana bars use it as a casual napkin at the table — that is a real Belgrademark: Skadarlija kafanas, river-raft clubs, and Zvezdara neighbourhood bars cycle through thousands of branded bandanas per summer.
The format is small, lightweight and ships well — a single carton holds 1,500 bandanas at under 12 kg, which makes it a favourite for distributed fulfilment across multiple venues.
Materials and construction
For event giveaways we run 80–90 gsm OEKO-TEX cotton bandana in a stock colour (white, black, red, navy), hemmed on all four sides. The print is a single-pass screen print with water-based inks so the bandana stays soft against the skin. For active use (trail running, cycling, kafana work) we shift to a 110 gsm cotton-polyester mix for higher tear strength, or to a 140 gsm microfibre polyester with moisture-wicking finish — the micro-poly option is the format most Serbian outdoor brands choose for their trail-collection.
Rolled hem (cotton) or overlock stitch (microfibre). For 100+ unit orders the same artwork is reproducible on stock 50 × 50 cm or 55 × 55 cm squares; for premium brand applications we run a custom-cut 60 × 60 cm with mitred corners.
Decoration methods
Screen print is the default for cotton bandanas — a 350 × 350 mm repeat pattern holds up through 10+ washes if water-based inks are used. Plastisol is the right choice for dark grounds and for high-detail brand work; it costs more but the result is sharper. Sublimation on a 140 gsm micro-poly bandana unlocks full-coverage all-over prints and gradients, popular with Serbian outdoor brands for capsule collections.
For events where the bandana is a participant number, we run a separate woven name tape at the corner (3 cm × 8 cm) — popular with EXIT Festival marathon runners and Stara Planina Ultra finishers.

Serbia-specific context
EXIT Festival at Petrovaradin is the largest single-run buyer — typically 3,000–10,000 bandanas per edition, distributed as wristbands, face wraps and pocket squares. Belgrade trail-running and adventure events (Stara Planina Ultra, Fruška Gora Trail, Đerdap Ultra) order 800–2,000 units per race. Belgrade outdoor retail brands (Lone Wolf, Planinar, Outventure, Campster) order 300–500 units per season for in-store resale. The Zvezdara kafana and Skadarlija bar cluster buy 200–400 unit runs per quarter for table service and events.
Frequently asked questions
What GSM cotton survives the EXIT Festival wash cycle?
110 gsm cotton-polyester mix — heavier than a stock 80 gsm bandana, holds print through the multi-day festival rotation, and resists tearing during event activity.
Can you print a Pantone-matched logo on a black bandana?
Discharge ink on a black cotton bandana gets within Delta-E 2.5 for most warm-tone Pantones. Cool tones and fluorescents need a sublimation print on a white or light-grey micro-poly bandana.
What is the standard bandana size for a Serbian event giveaway?
550 × 550 mm is the Belgrademark standard — large enough for a wrist wrap or a pocket square. 600 × 600 mm for premium gifting; 450 × 450 mm for cheaper mass distribution.
Can you ship bandanas flat-packed for event distribution?
Yes — folded into a 100 × 100 × 30 mm bundle, 500 pcs per carton. We can pre-roll into a cylinder and band with a printed belly wrap at +RSD 18 per unit.
How long does a screen-printed bandana last?
Water-based ink on 80 gsm cotton — 20+ wash cycles before noticeable softening. Plastisol on 110 gsm cotton-poly — 30+ wash cycles. Sublimation on micro-poly — indefinite.
What is the smallest run you will produce?
100 units minimum for a custom-cut bandana. Below 100 we steer clients to a stock size (550 × 550 mm) with a single-colour screen print.
